25 Years since The Stroke and Neurological Clinic was formed by Nikki Penny, to provides specialist physiotherapy rehabilitation to people who suffer from a neurological condition. Nikki graduated in 1990 with a BSc in Physiotherapy and has worked as a chartered state registered physiotherapist for the last 31 years.

She quickly developed a passion for neurology and has worked in many neurological rehabilitation units within her NHS career such as Stoke Mandiville, Sussex Rehabilitation Centre and lastly became the clinical specialist at the Wolfson Neurological Unit, London.

In 2007 she founded Neurofit, a strength and conditioning programme designed for people with a neurological condition.

Skilled in Sales, Product launch, Marketing and Customer relations. Strong professional with a passion for the industry he works in, helping people achieve their true potential in recovery from life changing injuries and illnesses.

Fab is a T34 Wheelchair Racer, double Paralympian, Commonwealth and World bronze medalist and current double European Champion.With a future goal to become a Physiotherapist off the track I am working part time at Chailey Heritage as a therapy assistant. I’m known for my baking skills (know to many of the clinic as the cake fairy) alongside being a full time athlete. My ultimate focus currently is pushing my body to be the best it can be both on and off the track as we power on towardsDelhi 2025 World Para Athletics Championships and LA 2028 Paralympics

Helen graduated from King’s College London in 2010 with a MSc in physiotherapy having previously completed a Sport and Exercise Sciences Degree at the University of Birmingham.Helen met Nikki on a Neurofit courses in 2016 and joined her team in 2019. Helens ability to fuse her two degrees allowed her to develop a skill set perfect for the Clinic

Nicola possess excellent relationships with the UK leisure industry and offers many year’s experience within hotel, corporate, leisure and commercial Health & Wellness services. Nicola is regularly called upon by some of the UK’s leading PR agencies. Her work with these brand agencies includes brand representation, public speaking, written content & press tips.

Natalie has a background in MSK physio for over 20 years with a special interest in rehab. In2014 she completed an MSc in Sport and Exercise Rehabilitation (including strength and conditioning). Natalie lead the Lower Limb rehab service at the local NHS Trust, and works with a variety of clients at all levels helping them to reach their goals/return to sport by using exercise prescription as an integral part of their journey

Kitty is a principal lecturer in physiotherapy in the School of Education, Sport and HealthSciences. Her research interests span the neurological and rehabilitation fields. Holding a specific interest in caring practice in physiotherapy and rehabilitation, stroke, stroke rehabilitation, qualitative and creative methods, and in particular, hermeneutic phenomenology

Sue qualified as a physiotherapist in Cardiff in 1987, as an IBITA Basic course instructor in2007, and as an Advanced Bobath Tutor in 2016. She works within the NHS in Wales as aClinical Lead for Neuro rehabilitation, where she can work with patients and therapists across the whole clinical pathway. Sue has taught Introductory, Basic and Advanced Bobath courses in the UK and internationally.

Ben is a Physiotherapy Lecturer and Researcher. His research interest is shoulder pain in the neurological population. He is also interested in rehabilitation adjuncts, enhanced environments and social initiatives that help people with neurological impairments participate in experiences that are meaningful to them

Fran is a Consultant Physiotherapist in Stroke and Rehabilitation at NHNN. She completed her MSc in Advanced Neurophysio therapy at UCL in 2004 and has worked at The NationalHospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery since 2008. Fran specialises in complex inpatient and stroke rehabilitation and has a special interest in upper limb rehabilitation
